FAQs about Thrive Kids
–How are parents notified about their child’s process?
Parents will receive regular updates, resources for home, and brief check-ins to support their child’s progress outside of group sessions.
–Can I (parent) remain in the group?
It’s completely normal for children to feel nervous at first. While it might feel reassuring to stay in the room, part of the therapeutic process is helping children build confidence, independence, and social-emotional skills in a safe space with their peers. Parents are welcome to remain in the waiting area and are encouraged to be nearby, especially during the first few sessions, just in case your child needs extra support. Most children adjust quickly and begin to look forward to the group once they feel connected and engaged.
-Can I use my insurance for group?
Currently, our practice accepts Aetna and Optum/United Health Care for group therapy services. Please note that depending on your plan, you may be responsible for a co-payment.
The total cost of this group series is $300 ($50 per session). Participants may pay for group sessions online by invoice or use insurance for group sessions.
